Keyboard Class – 4-Day Program
This 4-day Keyboard Class combines music theory and practical keyboard skills for young learners aged 3-12. Students will progress from basic to advanced techniques and music theory, making this class ideal for beginners and those with some experience.
When: Autumn School Holidays (Monday April 14, 2025 - Thursday April 17, 2025)
Duration: 60 Minutes per Day (9 AM- 10 AM)
Ages: 3 - 12 years old
Program Structure:
Day 1: Getting Started with the Keyboard
Introduction to the keyboard layout
Basic music theory: notes, scales, and rhythms
Hand positioning and learning simple songs
Day 2: Learning Chords & Melody
Playing tunes with basic melody and chords
Understanding time signatures and note values
Day 3: Expanding Music Theory
Advanced music theory concepts: intervals and key signatures
Building on rhythm and timing
Practising more complex pieces
Day 4: Final Performance
Applying learned skills in a performance setting
Playing a song that incorporates theory and practical elements
Reviewing progress and celebrating accomplishments
